Upgrade your old Ubuntu version to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Open your terminal by pressing CTRL+ALT+T and type following command.

sudo update-manager -d

Software Updater will be open and will show you the latest Ubunu version. Click on Upgrade to start upgrade. It'll take sometime.
