Install TexMaker and TexLive 2012 on Linux

Install TexMaker and TexLive 2012 on Linux or Ubuntu or Kali linux 

Open your Terminal and type following command to install TexMaker.


sudo apt-get install texmaker

Now type the following command to install TexLive.

sudo apt-get install texmaker


Some new features not working on old texmaker version. So install TexLive 2012 to get those features. To install TexLive 2012, type the following command in sequence.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:texlive-backports/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install texlive

sudo apt-get upgrade

To install full texlive package type following command

sudo apt-get install texlive-full

Thats all.
